Our Dew Pond is much in need of a clean up, and a nearby area has a ragwort explosion! Also, this year seems to have particularly suited brambles and grasses. The valley is crossed by many pathways - some are used by animals - foxes, rabbits etc. and they can do a splendid job in keeping the path accessible. Some paths however disappear or at least become quite a challenge to navigate. We like to keep as many paths open as we can because many of the different areas have their own mixture of plants, shrubs, and bushes, and add interest to a stroll in the valley - certain birds also prefer a particular environment and are more likely to be seen/heard in a given area. Come along and help the “fight against scrub”!
